The Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) has partnered with Pelican Products to develop the Pelican 7060 LED flashlight as the standard issue tactical/patrol flashlight for all LAPD police officers. Pelican 7060 flashlights are constructed of hi-impact Xenoy resin with a grenade grip for a no-slip grip and machined aluminum cooling fins to draw heat away from the lamp. The Pelican 7060 LED flashlight's white LED bulb provides 130 lumens light output and 1.50 hours of runtime on one charge. A focused primary beam penetrates darkness up to 120 yards, a secondary 12 foot pool illuminates the immediate periphery.
