The FireFly3 WaterBug is an upgrade from the original FireFly 3.

Developed as a state-of-the-art replacement for famous Firefly forerunners, 4F and 4G, the FireFly 3 WaterBug is a water activated rescue strobe designed as "electronic flare" to replace day/night pyrotechnic signal in aviation life rafts.

The Waterbug strobe light special water activation feature automatically activates light should wearer fall into water (see additional images).

The WaterBug strobe light carries all the other features of manually activated Firefly 3:
- 360° high intensity Xenon strobe
- Waterproof - Factory tested to 10m (33 ft)
- Large sliding switch allows for easy operation by gloved hands
- Newly-designed base platform allows unit to stand upright easily
- Stainless steel retainer securely attaches removable battery door to case
- Integral strapping slots provide a secure anchor point

The FireFly's xenon strobe light is visible for 2 miles FireFly meets SOLAS standards: Safety of Life at Sea. Minimum safety standards agreed to by the International Maritime Organization (IMO).
